Gramps
All, I found this fossil in a shale deposit of Pennsylvanian age in Northeastern Oklahoma. The shale is probably Chanute formation and contains other marine fossils. I would appreciate any help with ID. Best wishes.
DPS Ammonite
Straparollus. It looks similar to the coiled gastropod in McKinzie’s Color Guide to Pennsylvanian Fossils if North Texas. Get a copy if you collect Pennsylvanian fossils from Texas and neighboring states. Edited July 13, 2020 by DPS Ammonite 3 My goal is to leave no stone or fossil unturned.
