a rock slab full of brachiopods and bivalve fossils

Hi everyone, this is Matt again. 

Today in the creek I found a nice fossil slab full of brachiopods and bivalves. Here are some photos:

Some nice bivalve (Clam) fossils there as well!

The preservation on this plate of bivalves and brachiopods is beautiful - congrats!

This might be your nicest fossil slab yet Matt. You might consider entering it into the Fossil of the Month Contest.


Now if some our members could ID them. Do we know what Devonian? formation they are from?

My goal is to leave no stone or fossil unturned.
