What is this insect in Burmese amber?

Impossible to say from that photo.  You'll need clear in focus photos that show the wings in particular, well enough to see the veins.

I have a few pieces with similar looking inclusions. 

They came labelled as "Diptera" 

 

Not much info available on amber inclusions. 

When things are back to some sort of normality, I plan on going to the NHM and seeing if there is an expert there who can give me more info and narrow down the id on some of my items. 

 

@holdinghistory is an expert on amber

Perhaps he can shed some further light.

Thanks but unfortunately the amber was sold a while ago and I couldn't get pics of the wings

I also believe this is a fungus gnat. Both the body shape and the few wing veins you can make out when you blow up the picture all match. If it was in my collection I would be comfortable labeling it as such.

It's Parapolycentropus, two-winged mecopteron with long proboscis. Quite common in Burmese amber.
