Bradley Flynn
I had a hunch and stopped at a road cutting today just to have a quick peek. I am still trying to figure out the age. All of the photos where taken on sight and the specimens have been left there. So no other pics.

Bradley Flynn
@marguy thank you for your reply. @piranha identified this as Cyclodendron leslii in a previous post.
Bradley Flynn
I'm taking a guess here and think these are from late devonian, early Cretaceous. Still doing some reading. Would just like to know if I'm on the right track and these are plant specimens?
Bradley Flynn
So after doing some reading I think these are plant fossils from the witteberg group which overlays the bokkeveld group that I uasally find the devonian specimens in. The witteberg group is late devonian, early Cretaceous. Wonder what else I can find there

Bradley Flynn
Adjusted contrast for better viewing. Besides the Cyclodendron leslii, do you think the rest is plant fossil as well?
