musicnfossils
A customer gave me some neat fossils today, I couldn’t tell ya where they were collected unfortunately. Is the larger one a baculite? No clue on the smaller one. Larger one has crystals inside the fossil, pretty neat. Thanks in advance.
Paleome
Yes, it's a baculite, a pretty much linear ammonite. Most people are familiar with coiled ammonites. The webby-looking internal cross section gives it away as an ammonite. Both coiled and straight ammonites will have this internal structure, and they are cephalopods. If it doesn't have this internal structure, it could be a scaphopod, which is a mollusc.
Paleome
I just wanted to mention that your specimen is pretty sizeable. I have a bunch of these, but they are juvenile, small and pencil-like in size. I understand an adult can get to be up to two meters long. Very nice specimen!

Yeah I think I have something similar to the small ones you mentioned. Never seen one like this, and most of my collection is dinosaur material so this is something different.
