Etobicoke Creek is still productive

Good finds. What are those in the 1st pic?

I like the multi-Ambonychia plate and the trace fossils.

The first one is 5 Orthocone nautiloids in cross-section. There are various slices of others in the same rock, not shown here.
I presume they are Treptoceras. Funny thing about this area: You often find remains 3 or more of these creatures all jammed together.
We have one rock in our front entranceway that has about 12-14 of them!

cool.  It was productive when I rode my bike from downtown Toronto to Etiboke Creek in 1994.

Must have been challenging to drag any treasures home when cycling!

Of course, orthocones. I guess I was thrown by the bunch grouped together like a colony of something!

I was young and healthy then.  No problem.  : )

 

It was certainly a thrill to find a place to collect that I could ride to.
