timhigg
New member. I am wondering what kind of fossil this is. The fossil is almost exactly 1 inch (2.54 cm) wide and the same long and one half inch high. It came from a beach near Jensen Beach.
Harry Pristis
Tortoise osteoderm. A scute is a thin keratinous scale that covers the osteoderm. Scutes are not preserved as fossils. 9 http://pristis.wix.com/the-demijohn-page What seest thou else In the dark backward and abysm of time? ---Shakespeare, The Tempest
BellamyBlake
Agree with Harry. It looks similar to one I have from Florida.
