Vert ID fish? Not shark

this little baby is 1/2 inch long

apologies for a lousy iPhone 5 and a lousy photographer I’m usually wrong but I’ll say that it doesn’t look like the shark or fish vertebrae I’ve found. What strikes me is the open centrum.
