Ichnofossils, algae, or something else? Part 2

Paleome

Recommended Posts

These are very tiny, delicate, fibrous/filamentous structures which are most  commonly found within an iron-oxidized (? yellow/orange tinted) hash.  They are probably part of something bigger, like maybe the fibrous structure of highly degraded algae.

These are really hard to photograph with what I have.  Again, 3ach circular shot 9mm+wide.

More...  In some ways, some of these resemble the stuff in part 1, only much smaller.  Others are more irregularly fibrous, like lint.  Maybe pieces of Marpolia spissa?  I dunno.

Straight-liners.  Most appear pretty solid, but some have sections, or look like dots in a line.

You might consider cropping the images in a photo editing program.

The very last of this category.  I have others, but can't  get them to photograph well.  Again, these are the best of many in the collection. Stay tuned, Part 3 tomorrow.  Then we can draw together all that we have seen into something that makes more sense. We can combine our ideas/theories with what has been studied  and conjectured about, including the controversies.

Cropping and putting small images, like thumbnails, into a single (or a few) page(s) is something I don't know how to do.  I am willing to learn, if you can show me, or direct me to the correct link for this forum.  I have done alot of cropping within each image.

I'll try to do something. I'm not a very sophisticated computer user - quite the opposite, unfortunately. You are correct - if I could do that, it would be easier to look at and compare images!
