Florida claw or tooth fossil?

Recommended Posts

This fossil, found on a beach near Jensen Florida, is nearly about 2.125 cm. long, just under 1 cm. wide at its widest, and just under a .25 cm across.

I'm thinking probably claw but maybe tooth.

  Thanks for your help.

Welcome to TFF.  It is always good to great new members .  Nice photos...

I do not see a break that would indicate claw... so I am thinking tooth... Might be a horse or camel "wolf tooth". I have seen some at this size.

There is a tiny one in this thread if you can find it....upper left in picture
