MadeinMichigan
Greetings! Each summer I visit a small, secluded town in the Northern lower peninsula of Michigan. This beach in particular is just loaded with fossilized corals and shells, and I always come home with some beautiful finds. The area is known for horn corals, petoskey stones, and a related coral fossil known as the Charlevoix stone. Take a look! *Note: the last jpeg is two pictures of the same stone.* Edited August 18, 2020 by MadeinMichigan
Ludwigia
Can't really see all that much. Any chance of higher resolution photos? Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Roger http://www.steinkern.de/
Misha
I agree better pictures would be needed, but from this I can say that the two smaller pieces in the first picture are crinoids, and the last looks like a horn coral to me.
MadeinMichigan
I was worried about that! Here's some better images.
Tidgy's Dad
Lots of sections through horn corals, I think. Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.
MadeinMichigan
Awesome, thanks! Is the middle fossil the body of the horn coral, or the "flowering" part?
