Belated NYPS field trip report Part I: Bivalves

Hi fellow forum members!

So a while back I went on a field trip with the NYPS to a couple spots in central NY. Both spots were middle Devonian hamilton group.  The first spot was Windom shale, and I believe the second spot was Upper Ludlowville. I started working on a trip report but only ended up doing the arthropods. I completely forgot about all of my other fins lol. Now I’m going to show some of my best non-arthropod fossils from the trip.

Enjoy!

Nice finds, Owen.  :SlapHands:

I think your last one may be either Mytilarca chemungensis, or Mytilops metella .

Thanks Tim! :fistbump:

I’m still having some trouble finding an exact ID for that last one, so you could be correct.
