Jose Rivera
These mollusk fossils are of a friend o mine, who got it from a stonework supplier. He says that it comes from Arizona, and that is all that he knows about it. Can you help me to identify the species, and the aproximate age? FossilDAWG
These are fragments of Trigonia bivalves. I don't know what formation these might have come from, but @DPS Ammonite and @Arizona Chris know Arizona geology better than I do and they may be able to help. DPS Ammonite
Trigonia yes. This is the well known 105 million year old Cordova Shell Limestone (Whitestone Lentil) quarried commercially from near Austin, Texas. https://wap.stonecontact.com/cordova-shell-limestone/s15806 1 My goal is to leave no stone or fossil unturned.
