Real spinosaurus vertebra?

Hello.

Seller claim that this fossil is Spinosaurus vertebra from kem kem basin. 

May i know your thought about this vert ID.

 

to me personally i think it look a bit like Croc vert. (not sure tho. i have a hard time ID some vert lately.)

Yes. The centrum seems to have some repairs and none of the protruding processes belong. It's all composite garbage.

Composites are fairly common with KK limb bones and Verts.  At the intersection where processes attach to the centrum look for a change in texture, color,  the presence of excess matrix, or an unusually shaped bone.  A Matrix glue mix is often used to hide defects and joints at composites points so thats always a red flag.    Processes should be a continuation of the centrum and other than breakage repair it should look like one piece.  If photos don't provide good views ask for more.

Become familar with what vertebrae look like.
