Phuwiang Dinosaur Museum , Thailand

hello everyone today i have some picture to share to you during my day off quick trip visit Phuwiang dinosaur museum ,khon kaen province ,Thailand  about 1 mo ago hope you enjoy

This is distal of femur of Phuwiangosaurus sirindhornae (sauropod dinosaur) , first dinosaur that discovered in my country,

Early Cretaceous . found in Sao Khua formation ,Khorat group , Khonkaen&Kalasin province

 

here are multiple teeth of Phuwiangosaurus sirindhornae

 

This is left femur of Isanosaurus attsvipachi  , Sauropod from Late Triassic ,found in Nam Phong Formation ,Khorat group

 

This is Left pelvis and 10 caudal vertebra of Siamotyrannus isanensis , Theropod dinosaur believe to be ancestor of Tyrannosaurus Rex (label told me that)

Early cretaceous , Sao Khua formation

 

 

 

and this is fossil from Siamosaurus suteethorni , Spinosaurid dinosaur of thailand !!! ,Early cretaceous ,Sao khua formation ,Khorat group 

 

 

as i said this is a quick trip unfortunately i don't have enough time to visit dig site .

greeting ! not a new museum mate. this museum locate in Khon kaen province ,sub-district :Phuwiang about 80 km from the town area

Sawatdee krap! 

I loved it in Thailand, spent most of my time in the north. Not very fond of Bangkok, but otherwise adored the place. 

I was going to move there permanently, but finally decided on Morocco, mainly because of its proximity to the UK in case of health care needs.

Nice displays! One small correction, Siamotyrannus is no longer considered to be related to tyrannosaurs, instead it's an allosauroid belonging to the metriacanthosauridae, related to animals such as sinraptor, yangchuanosaurus and metriacanthosaurus.

A lot more still in Prep lab and even more in dig site . i will definitely share a photo with all member when i have time to visit dig site.
