Hi, I wet fossil hunting in a Cenomanian site and I found this piece. I think this is a Rudist valve of Requienia but I'm not sure to be right. What do you think mates? @abyssunder @FranzBernhard?

The size is a little less than the size of a hand (about 15 cm or 6 inches).

Difficult! No clue, sorry, and no experience with Requenia, only with Hippuritids and Radiolitides.

What is known from this formation and site, @fifbrindacier?

Btw, nice typo:

Oh, sorry.  You have a photo of, let's call it the "top" of the valve.  Do you have a photo of the "bottom" of the valve as well?

Hippuritids are known from there. I have several pieces of Ichthyosarcolites and a Polyconites.

Thanks for the added photo.  Unfortunately, I'm not seeing enough detail on either side to make a determination one way or the other.  Best I can say is that I sure can't rule out your assumption based on what I'm seeing.  Sorry I can't be more help.  :s_cry:

Hello,

Pictures suggest Requienia ammonia to me.

(Sorry, I can't use italics.) :)

That's what I thought, I looked for the left valve but unfortunately it wasn't there.

Thank you all for your imputs, have a good day.
