fifbrindacier
Hi, I wet fossil hunting in a Cenomanian site and I found this piece. I think this is a Rudist valve of Requienia but I'm not sure to be right. What do you think mates? @abyssunder @FranzBernhard? The size is a little less than the size of a hand (about 15 cm or 6 inches). 1 "On ne voit bien que par le coeur, l'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux." FranzBernhard
Difficult! No clue, sorry, and no experience with Requenia, only with Hippuritids and Radiolitides. What is known from this formation and site, @fifbrindacier? Btw, nice typo: 1 hour ago, fifbrindacier said: I wet fossil hunting Sure it was raining cats and dogs during your hunt! . grandpa
Thanks for the added photo. Unfortunately, I'm not seeing enough detail on either side to make a determination one way or the other. Best I can say is that I sure can't rule out your assumption based on what I'm seeing. Sorry I can't be more help.
abyssunder
Hello, Pictures suggest Requienia ammonia to me. That's what I thought, I looked for the left valve but unfortunately it wasn't there. Thank you all for your imputs, have a good day.
