Troodon
Unbelievable pterosaur diversity in this part of North Africa. This paper describes a unique small, long-beaked pterosaur from the Kem Kem Group of Morocco. Does not appear to be named. Here's the report from Morocco World News where the science correspondent thinks pterosaurs are dinosaurs and can't write binomial names correctly. Sigh. https://www.moroccoworldnews.com/2020/10/322913/scientists-discover-remarkable-small-flying-dinosaur-in-morocco/ 2 Life's Good! Tortoise Friend. msantix
Fantastic discovery! I remember seeing a small fossil for sale a some time ago (probably around 5 years ago?)..... I didn't bid on it because I didn't know what it was at the time but anyway, when the paper came out I recognised what the fossil actually was - A Pterosaur beak fragment belonging to Leptostomia. Basically, for anyone who comes across fossils like this, it should be easy to identify them as the Azhdarchoid Pterosaur Leptostomia! Very cool discovery & unique Pterosaur.
