minnbuckeye Posted September 12, 2020 Share Posted September 12, 2020 Modern gastropods. Now that I know your education is coming through St Olaf, I can recommend a fossil site close to you. Search "Wangs Corner" for the location and descripion of fossils east of Northfield. There are some rock exposures exposing Decorah Shale. It has been visited by many people so the finds are average at best. But it can get your "feet wet". Show us what you find if a visit happens. I think i'll definitely check out Wangs Corner, it'll be a bit tricky since I don't have a car up here but I think I can borrow a bicycle from the school. Find someone with a similar interest and a car. If there's more than 50 other students you'll find at least one who has a passing interest in fossils. 1 Mark.
