Gastropod?

I'm not sure this is recognizable...but, I think it's a Gastropod.  The only thing is that the broken tip is facing the wrong way from those that I've looked at.  The tip of the point is broken as shown by the arrow. And on the other side the "circle"(that is inside the blue line) corresponds to the top.  And the broken tip.  I'm trying to teach myself to prep.  I got a slab of Limestone(not the easiest, but still) approx. 2 ft along the back...I did get a nice little Horn Coral from it so far.

Looks like limestone, and not slate.
