Rappahannock creek and beach

I have been out a bit in August and September, not finding much (pottery shards the kids miss).  Shark teeth are few and far between, but now that summer is over, less competition (i hope).

Here is a photo of my bigger teeth (makos and a few odd ones), some would be nice but busted up.  The kids don't care about the shrimp coprolite burrows, so I have a bunch of those (will get them together and post separately).  Getting lots of angel shark and drum "teeth", lots of sand tiger shark (but most missing cusps), but not a lot of novel/ interesting stuff.  Posted the mammalian tooth in the ID section, started to throw away until I realized it had two little "teeth".  Found a seal tooth several years ago, hoping this might be a weird one.  Lots of rain from TS Sally, and wind supposedly the next few days, hope some new stuff appears.

I was wondering when you would pop up again. :)

Not a bad little haul, despite the over hunting.

Nice makos!  Thanks for posting.

@will stevenson @Fossildude19 Thanks.  Yes the "seal tooth" is most likely a sand tiger missing the blade.  I was thrown off by the cusps being white and extending deep into the tooth, the root being dark gray (odd, but I should know by now that colors can be mismatched).  Even though I find mostly sand tiger shark teeth. this is the first one I have noted that had intact cusps and no blade.

Have been fishing a lot for the last month, plus HP screwed up my scanner (requiring me to get an account (feel like I'm being monitored, with my mail accounts requiring updates and changed passwords).  Annoying, and I am a creature of habit, which suddenly change for no reasons.

Anyway, I have been out to the beach a few times, not many teeth but lots more deer tracks than people tracks.  Biggest mako just over 2" on longest side+ root tip
