Prepping And using water

So i spray little bit of water on my fossils and scrub with a toothbrush. But sometimes these appear orange marks. Not sure if i just did not see them before. I prep under a normal ikea lamp. I have heard the sun can discolor fossils. My curtains cover the Windows in the room. The water really helps me see better detail. I just wanna be 100% safe :)16011094795292702882928056509986.thumb.jpg.f7afdb959f28f029cd58b6ef2b8dcaa5.jpg

Lamps and sunlight do not generally discolor rock fossils.

I'm guessing that the orange you are seeing was hidden by dirt or mud.
