connorp Posted October 14, 2020 Share Posted October 14, 2020 I found this in a phosphatic nodule from the Mecca Quarry Shale (Middle Pennsylvanian) of Illinois. It's pretty jumbled, perhaps as a result of digestion. My first reaction was that this is the base of a fish tooth, but I am not positive. Any thoughts?
