Authenticity of megalodon tooth

I am a fairly new collector of fossils (when it comes to purchasing them that is) and was looking for some advice on whether or not this small megalodon tooth I recently purchased that comes from the Hawthorne Formation in Georgia is the real deal. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!
