Mostly black Cashaqua and Rhinestreet shale found at Sturgeon Point area. I guess I was comparing it to the wrong fish! It’s been tough to find info on found species from NY. So just been searching for any pics I can to figure it out. The closest skull shape I could find was that of a selenostied placoderm. Do you have any good suggestions for reference? I’d really like to ID everything correctly. (Of course!)
