thorst
Hi, as my first post here, I'd like to show you my newly-finished 1:1 Archaeopteryx skeleton model. It was modelled in Blender after Wellnhofer (2008) and Rauhut (2013), and printed on an Anycubic Photon Mono X printer at 50µm resolution. The overall length is about 50cm. I hope you like it! Cheers, Thorsten

jnoun11
super work ! The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it. Terry Pratchett ...

thorst
Thanks! 4 hours ago, lormouth said: Realy good work, have you done some other models before thorst? Yes, I build models basically since I'm a child. I re-discovered modelling extinct animals during the last two years, mostly specializing on the Cambrian. I enjoy doing 3D renders as well as real, physical models. Here is, for example, my interpretation of Hurdia victoria with a small Wiwaxia at its side. These are all 3D-printed after being modelled in Blender. The best one until now is Olenoides serratus for which I started another thread here. And more is coming before Christmas with another free download, I promise! I post small progress updates on my twitter stream, there is already a hint what the next 3D print may be!
