CH4ShotCaller
Spent the day with a friend and her young son, he loves anything fossil. Arrived at a favorite site, Astoria Formation, Middle Miocene in Washington State. We hadn't even swung a pick yet and they found a nice Parotodus Benedeni tooth, a big one at that. I have never seen one from here. Just lying on the surface, winking at us. He was so excited! Now, the torch has been passed onto the next generation. 15 Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new. -Albert Einstein

jeannie55
Very nice. We tease my grandson that he is the crinoid magnet since he finds stems and caps so easily. I was very happy when he found shark teeth on the bank of the Grand River. Yes...passing the torch is a significant step.

Took 32 years before I found my first one here, found a spot loaded with bones (scattered) and the teeth are mixed in amongst the remains. 2 Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new. -Albert Einstein
