Pikaia vignette

Hi,

here is probably my last (physical) model of this year: A small vignette in life scale depicting two Pikaia gracilens swimming along three small Hazelia delicatula sponges. This scene could have happened about 520 million years ago in the Cambrian.

The parts are again printed from clear resin on an Anycubic Photon Mono X at 50µm resolution. Each Pikaia consists of two parts, which allows to print the inner organs and the segmented (muscular?) structure on the inside while keeping the outside smooth.

If you want to print your own, I have uploaded the .stl-files at thingiverse

Cheers,

Thorsten

Thanks!

Usually I post my work and work-in-progress pictures on my Twitter account (@BrandThorsten), and until now, the finished models only here. But I will send you a DM.
