Found a bunch of knowns, and then these 2 that have some question.

1st up is a Peccary or modern pig p4 premolar, very worn.

AND a photo of a Peccary p4 from PrehistoricFlorida  .  Which is this fossil and how differentiated ?

Here is the 2nd..  Looks like a jaw.  Maxilla ?  Alveoli? Dolphin ?  Is this my imagination?  Just a rock?

I think your right on #2 being a piece of jaw bone.  Of what, I don't know.  I did get out on the river yesterday and had a number of small finds, nothing outstanding.  A couple of nice tortoise/turtle leg spurs, a partial meg, assorted small shark teeth.  I wouldn't have lasted more than 1/2 an hour in the water if not for the wetsuit and dive boots you recommended. Thanks!

Jim,

I was struggling on depths also. I can stand in waist deep water and dig the (I think new ) top layer but as I dig down I am quickly in chest deep water. So I think I am finding smaller stuff that has rolled in during wet season.

Yes,  I chose 5 mm for yesterday and was occasionally cold, as it was overcast with a slight breeze.  About 2pm , the glorious , glorious sun appeared from behind the clouds and I basked in the warmth!!! :star:
