I have come across a fossil and i’m curious to know a bit more about it with the help from you guys!

Nice ammonite! Where was it found?

Looks like a middle Jurassic ammonite, maybe Parkinsonia sp. If you could give us a few more views of it, for instance from above and the side, then maybe we can get more precise about it. And it would certainly help if you could at least tell us exactly where it was found. Dorset is not enough to go on.

The fossil was found while I was clearing through what I believe was sandstone which was a fair height from sea level (if that’s any help) 

 

located on the Jurassic coast by Bridport England
