Kurufossils
This here is a very odd partial fossilized something from the Upper Triassic Lockatong Formation of New Jersey. Not to sure what to make of it, it has a dark core atop with whiteish suggestive shapes. Not sure if this is bone, coprolite, plant or what not. Interested in hearing other opinions. Fossildude19
That is a coprolite, possibly from a reptile, Phytosaur, perhaps. They are fairly common in the Lockatong Fm. Neat find. 4 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." Your right, definitely not poop from one of the small coelacanths of course given the size, so that's definitely a likely candidate.
Fossildude19
There appear to be fish scales in the coprolite - pretty neat. 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks."
