Cananda 4.5 cm long This is another from an old collection as found. Wrapped with a number tag to match a hand writ-in entry. The sponges I have shows some formation. An online search of images does show several smooth surface sponges somewhat similar, including in the above link. She said that his journal dates from at least the 1950-1960's .
