Guess who's back :)

 

I have this piece of I think a left lower jaw from either a crocodile or dinosaur. If I look at the toothsockets they are for round teeth, so crocodile (looking at the size Elosuchus?) or spinosaurid. I am leaning more towards a crocodil. 

 

Size: 18x6x2cm

Croc upper jaw.

 

Looks consistent with Elosuchus snout mid section.

To elaborate some more...
The long rounded concave surface on the inside is part of the nasal passage. The suture we can see in the last photo is where it attaches to the nasal bone, this bone being part of the maxilla. The size and shape is consistent with Elosuchus, though a definitive ID might be hard. The tooth sockets are also consistent with this ID. The angle of the sockets however do no match those of Spinosaurids as the angle is wrong. Teeth sit up much straighter in the jaw compared to these crocs.

 

Some more cleaning might help with possibly confirming the ID.
