BellamyBlake
Hi, Are there any shark teeth described from localities in Taiwan? I found one for sale, a Carcharhinid from Yujing. However, I cannot find anything of the sort in the literature. I'd appreciate any information. Thank you, Bellamy Edit: "Fish fossils of Taiwan: a review and prospection" in Historical Biology notes Carcharhinus sp. from Taiwan. Any further information would be wonderful, especially if any of those have been described.

FF7_Yuffie
Hi, Theres not much info on fossils found in Taiwan. Shark teeth have been found here, though. The Jia-xian Sih-de Fossil Forest has had marine fossils including shark teeth found there--- its Miocene in age. Yujing has had mainly Cetacean fossils found there. The formation is called Liuchungchi Formation, and I believe its late pliocene to eary pleistocene. There is a museum, Tainan Fossil Park who might be able to take a look at the tooth
