Does anyone know what this is?

Hello

I found this at my local beach in Dorset yesterday. I've told my 6-year old that it's a dinosaur bone but my wife is very doubtful.

Does anyone have any ideas to back me up?

Many thanks

Sorry, but your son is going to be disappointed. I see no sign of bone substance on this stone, although I'm not at all certain what the circular object might be.

It's a piece of Cretaceous flint or chert, both occur there. I'm not sure about the hole - it could be related to a sponge or a burrow, or it could just be hole. :) (I think this stuff is too hard for modern piddock borings.)
