Hiya everyone just recently got this meg tooth and was looking for any more info. If anyone could help me with more on the tooth itself  or if it’s had any repairs would be great. Thanks

I can’t tell you the location where the tooth was found, but it is real. No point faking such a common fossil.

Your tooth is real. No repair/resto/composite/faking. Nice addition. :meg:

There are thousands of megalodon teeth out there with varying degrees of fabrication. It is a very common fake.

I have one with basically the same colors and from the site I bought it, they say most are from Savannah Georgia but some are from Wilmington NC

Yeah, but most of those are large (5+ inches.) They wouldn’t bother making a 3 inch fake with chipped serrations. That is why many of the examples you showed are composites of multiple teeth to make a larger end product.

Some are composites, some just have root "restoration," some are whole fabrications. I've seen plenty of small teeth with work done on them. Fake roots are most common.
