mardopa
Two very rare Ordovician fossils from the Fezouata Formation of Morocco. Any ideas?
marguy
no idea, but it looks like a berber powder pear (image from internet, on sold on e...) second fossil: genal spine?
Tidgy's Dad
Yes, the first one is something really weird, not a clue. The second one looks like a genal spine to me as well. Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.

Wrangellian
Interesting... I can't help much either but to me that curved thing looks too 3D for a genal spine, plus toward the tip it looks like it had a shell that has dissolved away, revealing an inner 'steinkern', so is it some kind of curved shell? (though I could be wrong - do genal spines have a hollow center like that too?) My best guess for the other thing based on Fezouata items I'm seeing for sale is some kind of Aglaspid - do an image search for that term, there's a couple examples on the main auction site right now. RJB
I know nothing of that formation but could it be a Dactyl from a crab? Just a guess RB

marguy
Could it be some kind of smooth crinoid lobolith? Just a guess!
