Dear fossilfans,

Could anyone have a look at this Oviraptor egg from China? Is it 100% real, and how much should I pay at maximum?

Thank you for helping me out :)

My advice when it comes to price is look at what similar ones are sold for

"No fossil is garbage, it´s just not completely preserved” -Franz (FranzBernhard)

"With hammer in hand, the open horizon of time, and dear friends by my side, what can we not accomplish together?" -Kane (Kane)

"I loved reading the trip reports, I loved the sharing, I loved the educational aspect, I loved the humor. It felt like home. It still does" -Mike (Pagurus)

“The best deal I ever got was getting accepted as a member on The Fossil Forum. Not only got an invaluable pool of knowledge, but gained a loving family as well.” -Doren (caldigger)

We don't value fossils here

It is real

Looking forward to meeting my fellow Singaporean collectors! Do PM me if you are a Singaporean, or an overseas fossil-collector coming here for a holiday!

The egg shell that’s there looks nice. Small area of composite in one of the cracks. It is authentic.  It’s a good egg if you’re unable to purchase a whole one.

The egg shell at the bottom right in the second photograph looks like it would've been re-attached. The egg itself, what remains of it, appears authentic, however.

As to price: as the rest have pointed out already, valuations are not allowed on the forum :)
