Mahnmut
Hi, that is a small artiodactyls metapodial, sheep or roe deer for example. Age is hard to tell, could be 10 years or 1000, the context where you found it may tell you more. best Regards, J 1 1 Try to learn something about everything and everything about something Thomas Henry Huxley
Thomas.Dodson
I agree with Mahnmut, this is probably roe deer or sheep based on size. Specifically this is a metacarpal (note the c-shaped proximal end compared to the square end in metatarsals), which rules out goat because goat metacarpals are more squat. The size seems a bit small for a sheep metacarpal according to this paper I was reading (Link) but I can't discount the difference in variety of different sheep breeds.
