Here are a few pics of some of the Crinoids I found at Perdenales Falls State Park in Central Texas. The rocks are from the Pennsylvanian Period.

well, sal, you just indirectly answered a question i've wondered about for some time, and forgot to ever research until now. i'm usually not hanging out in state parks because i'd rather be collecting fossils somewhere, but i do love pedernales falls. i'm not sure why but i'd never researched its geology. a couple of years ago i photographed this rock there...

this rock didn't "fit in" to my worldview of the area at all, and now i know why. i was hanging out in the cretaceous, but just upstream was pennsylvanian and the ordovician. go you! go ordo!
