Top Trilo
My question is exactly in the title, Can you identify ray teeth without locality info? I got some as a gift a long time ago and have no information on location and age and was wondering if its possible to identify to genus or even family “If fossils are not "boggling" your mind then you are simply not doing it right” -Ken (digit) "No fossil is garbage, it´s just not completely preserved” -Franz (FranzBernhard) "With hammer in hand, the open horizon of time, and dear friends by my side, what can we not accomplish together?" -Kane (Kane) "We are in a way conquering time, reuniting members of a long lost family" -Quincy (Opabinia Blues) "I loved reading the trip reports, I loved the sharing, I loved the educational aspect, I loved the humor. Here’s some pictures, it looks like there are 3 different species. There is also this other fossil, I got from the same place and it looks like a part of a fish jaw, can you confirm this and is there anything else that can be said about it scale is in inches let me know if additional photos are needed “If fossils are not "boggling" your mind then you are simply not doing it right” -Ken (digit) "No fossil is garbage, it´s just not completely preserved” -Franz (FranzBernhard) "With hammer in hand, the open horizon of time, and dear friends by my side, what can we not accomplish together?" -Kane (Kane) "We are in a way conquering time, reuniting members of a long lost family" -Quincy (Opabinia Blues) "I loved reading the trip reports, I loved the sharing, I loved the educational aspect, I loved the humor. ThePhysicist
The preservation of these looks similar to those from Morocco, which are between Cretaceous and Eocene in age. The last fossil doesn't look like a ray.
