Shale fish fin, scale, insect wing, other?

Looking for conodonts, I found and meticulously cleaned this object-at first I thought insect wing, but then fish scale, then plant, then, nuthin special.  :) 

Thoughts again appreciated!!  What say ye? (Stark shale, between Winterset and Bethany Falls, Pennsylvanian) . :)

I could very well be wrong but they kind of remind me of terminal branches of lepidodron steribergii. Here’s an example (not mine) just a little more compressed then the example pictured.....
