6ix
About 500m ASL, we had fun, found a clay bank and tried for shark teeth. In the end everything was too fragile, the shells disintegrated as we extracted them and the only solid things were the infilled burrows. Thought I had to share anyway... it was a fun time. https://youtu.be/ZOMRLKpItPI and some photos of the lunk we bought out... that is crumbling fast. 6ix
Thanks @minnbuckeye - we actually camped for a couple of nights about 100m downstream, its a great place and I had high hopes but as soon as I realised how crumbly everything was I got a little disheartened. About 400 metres away as the crow flies there is another bank in the side of the mountain that has a shoal of oyster coming out of it thats preserved a lot better. We've had a bit of a scratch around there too. That vid is a little boring sorry, but I thought it would be interesting showing us playing in water while the other half of the world is freezing. Yeah that dog is a great swimmer, doesnt mind going out on a body board in the pool or even the ocean when its hot enough. LOL I just noticed at the 2 minute mark she's got her head right under there for a while.
