Mahnmut Posted March 4, 2021 Share Posted March 4, 2021 Hi. Thats true. its called conglomerate and you could say they are fossil pebbles. The word fossil applies to remnants of living things, but the process is the same. Pebbles that have been rounded by weathering got surrounded by sand, mud, sediment that hardened again. So they are second hand pebbles when they come out again. Sometimes fossils are found among them, but rarely in good condition, for the same reasons you do not find intact shells on pebble beaches.
