This rock stood out because of its unique shape and consistent thickness.  Thoughts?

Not a fossil, just another odd shaped rock.

Two out of three, I'm afraid, is bad in this case. The exact texture of the surface is often the most important indication. In the case of a tooth the texture is rarely that different than a modern tooth. There isn't all that much difference between the substance of a tooth and that of a rock to begin with.
