This Gastropod is from Middle Devonian, near Seneca Lake in NYS.  Could this be a Bembexia sulcomarginata?  I purchased the book by Linsely...but, I'm finding a lot of mistakes in it...page references, names and such.

Plus they can get misshaped by geography as well. All those eras with tons of rocks on top of this fossil as well.
