Undescribed Nevada Olenellus sp?

Because the top of the thorax and macropleural spines are absent it could be a moulting event. The posted example above has unusual taphonomic 'perfection'.

"Olenellus gilberti and Nephrolenellus geniculatus (Webster, 2007) seem to have moulted the hypostome and rostral plate before emergence ventrally through the resulting gap, but occasionally specimens of the former also show a dislocation and displacement of the thoracopygon beneath the cephalon (Webster, 2015, fig. 10)."
