Welcome to the Forum. 

This is a concretion, not a fossil egg.

No egg, but concretions sometimes contain fossils around which the concretion formed. See, for example, the carboniferous Mazon Creek concretions or the cretaceous concretions from the Santana Formation in Brazil.

Note that the outer 'rind' is of variable thickness: this is very unlike an eggshell, but consistent with concretions.

This looks like an absolutely typical concretion to me, and it lacks any features of an egg except for the oval shape.  Geological context is also important: what is the source geological formation and age of the concretion?
