Big Brook Tooth and fossil ID

Jersey Fossil Hunter

Recommended Posts

Hi I recently went looking for foss il at Big Brook Park, New Jersey.

I'm wondering what species the shark tooth is from and what the other tooth/fossil is from. I'm not entirely sure what it is?

The molar looks like a modern racoon tooth.

I believe the Shark tooth is a Scapanorhynchus texanus.

Thanks for the references! It was the other tooth I was unsure of because it really didn't look like anything on those sites.
