FossilHunterNYC
Heading down to Charleston SC, can anyone share locations or spots where I have a good chance of finding a Meg ? I can’t scuba dive so that’s out of the question. I was just in Florida and we only found some fragments in the Peace River :/
Thecosmilia Trichitoma
If you're not familiar with the area, going with a guide who does is probably the best bet. A google search brought up quite a few results for guides. Heffalump
You can find a lot of shark teeth on Edisto Island, but the place I got most of my megalodon teeth (and lots of other cool teeth and marine mammal fossils) was on a fossil collecting boat trip that went out to Morris Island. We found a truly amazing amount of stuff, including a 4.5” meg tooth in pristine condition and dozens and dozens of megalodon & other teeth. It was worth the price of admission!
