Some new finds from an exploratory trip to Southern Illinois and Missouri. Originally I was focusing on Silurian rocks, but wasn't having much luck.

Ameura is a Pennsylvanian-Permian genus.  Instead check Brezinski 2008 for the best match of this Kaskia sp.

The small Ordovician trilobites are Ampyxina bellatula. Congrats on all the great finds! happy0144.gif

After further deliberation I would label it Kaskia chesterensis.  Brezinski also describes K. rosei from Illinois, but that is a poorly defined species that might be synonymous with K. chesterensis. Attached for comparison is K. chesterensis from the Ridenhower Shale near Millstadt, Illinois. mail?url=http%3A%2F%2Fmail.yimg.com%2Fok%2Fu%2Fassets%2Fimg%2Femoticons%2Femo71.gif&t=1618802048&ymreqid=23281213-8dc1-3cff-1c60-8000be01c500&sig=Qf8rhQM6Q68y963ubNPdcQ--~D
